JUST IN...Boys rescued after being cut off from incoming tide

Two boys have been rescued after they became stranded by the incoming tide on the River Clyde.

Coastguards received a 999 call from the boys, aged 11 and 12, at about 2030 BST on Sunday.
They had been fishing on the shore and had become cut off at Dumbarton.
Family members looking on were persuaded not to attempt a rescue while the RNLI, coastguard, and two helicopters were called to the scene.
A member of Helensburgh Coastguard Rescue Team managed to make his way to the boys and led them back to safety just before darkness fell.
Clyde Coastguard watch manager Richard Morgans said: "Always check tide times before you venture out on to the foreshore because you can easily be caught out by the incoming tide.
"In this case the boys did the right thing by calling 999 when they got into difficulty and realised they didn't know how to get back to shore."
